    Caption printed between two images, reads 'This is not a war picture, but it is typical of the plight of hundreds of seamen and others after a lurking u-boat has torpedoed their ship. When the American liner P Queson hit a rock off Kagoshima prefecture, Japan, members of the crew were picked up by the Japanese steamer Ukishima Maru.
