    HistoryHMAS OTWAY - Oberon class submarine in the Royal Australian Navy from 1968 to 1994. The casing and fin are displayed in the NSW country town of Holbrook.

    HMAS HARMAN - provides Navy administrative functions to all Navy personnel located in the Canberra area. Established in 1939 as the Harman Receiving Station, the establishment was commissioned HMAS HARMAN in 1943 and provided communications services in World War II for ships of the allied navies working in the Paciifc region; and saw the first servicewomen (WRANS) begin work as telegraphers.

    HMAS LONSDALE - established as a naval depot at Port Phillip in 1942 for recruiting and training naval servicemen for World War II. It closed in 1992.

    HMAS COONAWARRA - located in Darwin this naval base home-ports the Navy's operational Admidale class patrol boats as well as landing craft and other support units. Throughout World War II Coonawarra Wireless Transmitting Station provided essential communications service to the allies in the South-West Pacific.

    HMAS CERBERUS - the Navy's premier training establishment located at Western Port, Victoria. Operational since 1911, it was originally designated Flinders Naval depot and was commissioned CERBERUS in 1921. It trains all male and female naval sailors and more recently Army and Air Force personnel as well. The base offers specialised courses in survivability and ship safety as well as seamanship and weapons training.
