    Description
The front page of this newspaper - The Graphic- An Illustrated Weekly Newspaper dated Saturday 11 May 1912 - illustrates the VICTORY saluting the King with a twenty-one gun salute. The King was leaving Portsmouth, on board the VICTORIA AND ALBERT, and bound for the Fleet in Weymouth Bay.

Under the footer heading of the image reads:
'As the King left Portsmouth on Tuesday on board the Victoria and Albert, bound for the Fleet in Weymouth Bay, he was saluted with twenty-one guns from the Victory, which, by curious coincidence, had attained its 147th birthday on that very day. Unfortunately, a fog prevailed in the Channel, and the Royal yacht, with her escorting cruisers, was detained all night off the Isle of Wight'.
