    During the 1930s Arnott's produced a series of biscuit tins, shaped as beach buckets and colourfully illustrated with popular images of the seaside. This biscuit tin is decorated with a beach scene showing children in swimsuits playing with a small boat, an inflatable toy, beach buckets and a surfboard.
    SignificanceThis is a rare example of a beach bucket shaped biscuit tin produced by Arnott's Homebush factory during the 1930s.
    HistoryFrom the early 1900s the Arnott's biscuit factory produced colourfully illustrated biscuit tins to promote their product. In the 1930s a series of tins in the shape of children's beach buckets were manufactured.
