    Description
This photograph captures five skiff sailing in a weekly yacht race on the calm waters of Sydney Harbour. The skiff on the left is SWASTIKA, in the center is SYDNEY and between them is BRITANNIA.
History18ft. skiff racing was an entertaining sport for spectators. Its origins are attributed to Mark Foy and a group of businessmen who founded the Sydney Flying Yacht Squadron, reportedly established on 19 October 1891.

BRITANNIA and its skipper Georgie Robinson were prominent figures in 18ft. skiff racing between the two world wars.
