    A traditional Aboriginal woven eel trap made by Yvonne Koolmatrie in 1991. It is made from a bundle of sedge reed stems that have been coiled with a simple loop stitch. The trap has a large circular opening with a flat circular rim. The tapering cylindrical body ends in a small circular hole. Yvonne Koolmatrie belongs to the Ngarrindjeri community in South Australia. This item was made in Berri, South Australia.
