    Description
    The disabled HMS BELLEISLE during the battle of 1st June, 1794 between the Royal Navy and the French Revolutionary Fleet.
    HistoryThe BELLESILE was originally a French named LION, MARAT then FORMIDABLE. As part of the French Navy she took part in the battles at 'Action of 6 November 1794' but was captured by the British Navy the following year near Lorient and renamed BELLEISLE. She took part in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 and in 1807 sailed to the Dutch West Indies as the flagship of the British squadron.
    In 1814 she was broken up after spending 3 years at Portsmouth Harbour.
