    Description
Adjustable cadet or engineer's khaki coloured cap as worn by United States Merchant Marine crew during World War II on Liberty ships such as SS JEREMIAH O'BRIEN.
HistoryThe Liberty ship was a class of cargo ship built in the United States during World War II to replace losses in the British merchant marine due to German U-Boats. The ships were mass produced and were purchased both for the US fleet and lend-lease deliveries of war materiel to Great Britain and the Soviet Union.
