    Description
This coloured postcard features a Royal Navy gun team with a QF (Quick Firing) 4.7-inch gun. It was produced as an advertisement card for Shurey's Publications, England. The 4.7-inch gun Marks I, II, III, and IV were a family of United Kingdom naval and coastal defence guns of the 1880s and 1890s which served with the navies of various countries. They were also mounted on various wheeled carriages to provide the British Army with a long range gun. They all had a bore of 40 calibres length.
