    • Postcard entitled “Hoppe, Oevelgönne” Written on the front: “Lower promenade” Printed description on rear side: Restaurant and Café Hoppe, [contact details] Very nice view of the Elbe! Particularly recommended: the new covered terrace, with infrared heating. Written text: 1 September 1964 Dear Oskar, A souvenir for you of Oevelgönne. The terrace was renovated a few years ago, and the pavilion with the sign “Hoppe-Garten” is new. Apart from that everything is like in the old days. The pier (not in the picture) is made of iron now, not of wood any more, like before. [Sketch of the pier, Elbe river, shore, Promenade and Upper Promenade, restaurant garden, and Oevelgönne ferry shed, identified as: “This is where you once had your boat in storage.”]
