    • [The document consists of one sheet of paper with handwritten notes in pencil on both sides.] Lanteng, 19 August 1938 Dear Captain Schmidt, I apologise for writing to you in pencil. I don’t have any ink at the moment. I thank you very much for finding Hofmann for me. Hofmann made contact with me the very same day….
