    Translation
    • Pionier Faltbootwerft [Pionier Shipyard for Collapsible Boats] Via Airmail Mr. Oskar Speck C/o Mr. F.W. Rickmann Dili Portuguese Timor 23.4.1937 Dear Mr. Speck, As indicated in the enclosed original letter enclosed (the original), our insistent efforts with respect to Agfa have, unfortunately, did not lead toproduced a positive a resultoutcome. Unfortunately, we have to admit that the photos you sent could hardly be used for any promotional activities. We do, of course, appreciate the many difficulties you have to deal with during your journey, and we are aware that you cannot constantly concentrate on takmaking really good photos for advertisements. However, what we need are really good pictures of our boat, in a photo-technical and artistic sense, so that the boat is seen in a surrounding – be it on land or water - that conveys the true impression of your great quest, e.g. entering the harbours of the Orient, your departure and landing manoeuvres and the like. Perhaps you’ll occasionally succeed in getting a good snap shot. Apart from that we continue to wish you all the best, Sportsman’s salutation [signature]
