    Letter from Oskar Speck to Scherrl Publishing Company typed in German on the backside of Luchtpost Papier's sheet. Dated 15 May 1938, the letter mentions a manuscript he is sending about his journey, and states Pionier Faltbootwerft will assist with map of the journey.

    • Oskar Speck Tepa Currently: Tepa, Island of Barbar 15 May 1938 Publishing company “Scherrl [sic!] Publishing Co.” Main editorial office Berlin Please find enclosed the promised manuscript about my journey through the islands -world east of India in a collapsible boat. As requested, it includes a brief introduction regarding the reasons for and the procedure employed forof the journey, until nowthe present day. As an additional orientation, I have included a brief talk I was asked to write 1 1/2.5 years ago for the periodical the “Deutsche Wacht” [German Guard] for the Germans in the Dutch Indiesa. It indicatesdescribes the journey’s route and may provide further information of interest. Should you require further information, e.g. a plate/klischeexxplate containing a map and the route, I am certain that the Pionier Faltbootwerftr-shipyard for collapsible boats in Bad Toelz would be glad to be of assistance.
