    Translation
    • I.G. Farbenindustrie AG Berlin Agfa 21.06.1939 Section: ForeignOversees photographic sales Mr. Oskar Specks Thursday Island, Queensland Australia Dear Mr. Speck, In response to your letter dated 10/.5. we are now able to inform you that we have developed and sent your films and sent them COD to Miss G. Speck at Hamburg-Altona, Roonstrasse 4, according to your directionsinstructions, to Miss G. Speck at Hamburg-Altona, Roonstraase 45. The films provide a good indication of the journey’s difficulties and of the photographic conditions. Especially considering the unfavourable conditions for shooting the films, one would regard them as quite good, although a critical observer might wish to seerecognise more details in the shadows in some of the scenes. Not knowing the context of the individual scenes, we are not interested in the films. We do, however, thank you for your kind offer to provide us with excerpts from your entire film. Wishing you a absolutecomplete success in regard to your ongoingfurther journey, Heil Hitler Signatures
