    This archive series numbered [001] - [013] consists of material relating to Ballina Surf Life Saving Club and lifesaver Jim Flanagan. It includes a magazine commemorating Bondi Beach and the Surf Life Saving Association; 10 programs from various surf carnivals and championships; and two life saving club reports.
    SignificanceJim Flanagan was a surf lifesaver with the Ballina Surf Life Saving Club on the far north coast of New South Wales from the 1920s onwards. The material in this collection is significant in chronicling some aspects of life of a typical lifesaver in the early days of the surf lifesaving movement in Australia.
